      1. 1.Aadhaar-based OTP verification results, PAN information, and other government-authorized identification details.We do not store raw Aadhaar numbers. Only the masked Aadhaar (last 4 digits) or authentication reference tokens issued by UIDAI/NSDL are retained, solely to the extent permitted under the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery) Act, 2016 and applicable UIDAI circulars. Any eKYC data received is deleted within 6 months of the purpose being fulfilled, unless a specific legal obligation requires otherwise.

      As a legal-tech platform, the Service enables you to store and manage client matter data, including:

    • Digital Law Office uses AI tools to assist with:

    • We do NOT use customer documents, client matter data, or case-related information to train our AI models. Your data is processed only to generate outputs for your own workspace. Your legal matter data is never used to improve global or cross-customer AI models. This protects attorney–client privilege and complies with ethical obligations.This commitment applies to all third-party AI service providers integrated into DLO. Jupitice contractually restricts its AI vendors from using DLO customer data for model training or improvement. Lawyers and law firms may request a copy of relevant data processing terms by writing to support@jupitice.com. This commitment is not subject to change without explicit notice and an opt-in period of no less than 30 days.

    20. Data Retention

    • Unless deletion is requested (subject to legal exceptions), we retain:
      1. A.Identity verification data: up to 30 days.
      2. B.Case and legal matter data: retained as long as required by your organization, or up to 7 years after closure.
      3. C.Billing and payment records: 7 years.
      4. D.Audit logs and security logs: 1–7 years, depending on compliance requirements.
      5. E.Backups: retained temporarily for business continuity.Retention periods above are subject to revision as rules under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) are notified. For eKYC data specifically, retention does not exceed what is permitted under UIDAI's Authentication User Agency (AUA) guidelines. Users may submit a deletion request at any time subject to applicable legal holds.
